Enchanting songbird Chrisette Michele will be releasing her long-awaited album The Lyricist Opus later this month.
Set to arrive on November 24, Michele’s fifth studio album will serve as the follow-up to her Grammy-nominated effort Better. The “Be Ok” songstress won’t be dropping the new album via a major label, though. Instead, she will release it via her own label, which hasn’t been announced yet.
The Lyricist Opus will feature “Super Chris,” the lead single for the forthcoming collection. It will also feature a song called “Together,” which Michele shared a snippet of via her social media accounts.
Earlier this year, Michele explained the direction of new project. “It’s all about matching the sound of the music to my voice and the lyrics,” she shared with Radio.com. “The material is about chasing the light, finding what really matters to you and believing in it enough to support it. I’ll be recording in Los Angeles, I’m hiring a full orchestra, it’s going to be filmed and it will be followed on R&B Divas.”
