The first week album sales for Mary J. Blige’s and Omarion’s new projects have arrived.
With 55,000 album copies sold during its first week, Blige’s latest set The London Sessions earns the singer-songwriter her 13th top 10 album on the Billboard 200 after debuting at No. 9. The album also tops the Billboard Top Hip/Hop & R&B Albums chart, making it her 10th studio album to achieve this feat. The latter accomplishment ties the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul with the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin for the most No. 1 albums on that particular chart.

Meanwhile, Omarion’s MMG debut effort Sex Playlist debuts at No. 49 on the Billboard 200 after selling 12,644 in album sales during its opening week. The new dad collects his third top-five album on the Billboard Top/Hip-Hop & R&B Albums chart as well.
His last album Ollusion missed the top-five after debuting at No. 7 with 21,200 album copies sold in its first week.
