Brandy’s musical hiatus may end soon.
On Sunday (Dec. 7), the “Wildest Dreams” artist shared dual snippets of new music from a studio session with GOOOOOOOO Music team producers Oak and Flippa. Tentatively titled “You Hate It That You Love Me,” the new song hears Brandy’s silky vocals skating across an unmastered instrumental.
In a recent interview with The Brandy Blog, the 35-year-old singer revealed a handful of R&B divas that she would love to collaborate with in the future. She mentions Toni Braxton, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson and Jhene Aiko. She called the latter singer “amazing.”
Earlier this fall, Brandy sat down with The Grape Juice to share details on her forthcoming project. “It’s really interesting because I’m really embracing and open to a new direction, a new sound,” said Brandy. “I’m really challenging myself to just be different and not be afraid to just…not put myself in a box, just try new things and I just want to see what happens.”
