R&B trailblazer Mary J. Blige is putting her singing career on the backburner and pursuing acting full time.
In a recent interview with ELLE, the 44-year-old singer spoke candidly about adding more acting roles to her resume. In fact, Blige recently relocated to Los Angeles in hopes to tackle action films.
“I’d love to get all ripped and play a superhero or something like that,” said Blige. “I love The Avengers. I love X-Men.”
Aside from acting, Blige shared her thoughts on which celebrity should run for President. “I would say Jay Z,” said Blige. “People listen to him and follow him. If he spoke, and it was something that could help people, it would have a huge impact. He’s a powerful man. He would be my first vote.”
