The R&B world has officially snagged another victory for two of the most influential stars of all time. Legendary sings Janet Jackson and Chaka Khan have been named nominees for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
While the year just keeps getting better for Jackson, who recently released her first album in seven years and launched a successful tour, Khan’s nomination definitely adds a much-need boost to the R&B world.
Joining the likes of some of the biggest names in music, these two pioneers are truly hitting a milestone in their amazing careers. Throughout the history of this prestigious honor, this is Jacksons’ first nomination, as well as Chaka Khans’ adding to the intrigue behind these two legends.
The nominees await the results until December where a vote will then be cast for the official 2016 inductees.
