After experimenting with multiple personas (The Husel and Purple WondaLuv), Musiq Soulchild makes a return with his brand new single “I Do.” Arriving just in time before Valentine’s Day, the tender love ballad is about loving your partner even if he or she can get on your nerves sometimes. It’s certainly a relatable song when it comes to love and relationships.
“I can’t stand it when you be tripping and you know it / But I know you just can’t control it, though / So I ain’t going nowhere even though / Sometimes I don’t like you / You always got a problem with anything that I do / I don’t always understand everything about you / But I know I just can’t live with you / So yeah I do, I do…,” he sings.
“I Do” is the lead single off Musiq’s seventh studio album, Life on Earth, which will release on April 8. The album, executive produced by Warryn Campbell, will release via My Block Inc./eOne Entertainment.
Life on Earth is the follow-up to Musiq’s 2011 album, MusiqInTheMagiq, which included singles “Anything” and “Yes.”
