The Beyhive will soon be able to get fit in attire designed by Beyoncé. The “Get Me Bodied” singer has launched her new athletic wear line called IVY PARK, which is merging fashion-led design with technical innovation.
Planning for IVY PARK began a few years ago. In 2014, Bey announced her 50-50 partnership with Topshop owner Sir Phillip Green.
“I have always loved Topshop for its fashion credentials and forward thinking,” said Beyoncé in a press statement. “Working with its development team to create and produce a technical and fashion-led collection is exciting, and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”
IVY PARK will officially be available in stores (Nordstrom, Topshop, Hudson Bay, etc.) and online beginning April 14. In the meantime, Bey has released a two-minute promotional video for IVY PARK.
“There are things I’m still afraid of,” Beyoncé reveals in the clip. “When I have to conquer those things, I still go back to that park. Before I hit the stage, I go back to that park. When it was time for me to give birth, I went back to that park. The park became a state of mind. The park became my strength. The park is what made me who I am.”
