Emerging singer-songwriter MAJOR. has released his debut project, i am MAJOR, via Harmony Samuels’ BOE Music Group.
The 12-track set includes lead singles “Why I Love You” and “Keep On” featuring Kevin McCall. In addition to McCall, MAJOR. also collaborated with Mali Music, Jade Novah and Amber Riley.
In an interview with Rated R&B, MAJOR. spoke about his new project. “Some of the songs talk about how life is going to hand you a whole bunch of crap that you weren’t expecting to get in your hands but it’s how you choose to act — how you choose to respond will make the difference,” he said.
MAJOR. definitely didn’t let us down with his first project. Some standouts include “Hit the Road,” “Serendipity” and “#ChangeRightNow.” The latter track is MAJOR’S response to the racial injustices happening in the U.S.
Born in Houston, Texas, MAJOR.’s life has revolved around music and entertainment. His musical upbringing included studying at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City and Berkley College of Music in Boston.
Although MAJOR. — who is signed to Grammy nominated producer Harmony Samuels’B.O.E. Music Group — is a relatively new artist, his resume proves that he’s not new to the music industry, penning hits for Ariana Grande, Nathan Sykes and Sony Records’ Think Like A Man Too soundtrack, to name a few.
