Rising artist Ray BLK unleashes her new mini album, Durt. The seven-track project includes her breakthrough single “50/50” as well as her popular tune “My Hood” featuring Stormzy.
“A lot of growing up happened in the year it took me to make this mini album,” says Ray BLK. “These songs are about me becoming an adult and being frank about the experiences that have brought me here.'”
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter grew up in London’s south side and cites artists such as Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Notorious B.I.G. and Lil Kim as inspiration. Delivering the brash honesty of rap music, with her unique blend of soul and R&B spirit, Ray BLK weaves between genre boundaries borrowing the elements she requires to reach her goals of connecting her powerful stories with her fans.
