After scoring a number one hit with “Thick of It,” Mary J. Blige returns with another heartfelt single titled “U + Me (Love Lesson).” On the Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge-produced track, Blige reflects on a past relationship.
“Must’ve been crazy to think that you loved me / I saw all the signs but I just couldn’t say nothing / I did the time across the line for you / ‘Cause I can’t see myself with nobody else but you,” she sings in the first verse.
“U + Me” and “Thick of It” will appear on Blige’s forthcoming album, Strength of a Woman, which will release this year on Capitol Records.
