It’s official. Keyshia Cole has joined the cast of VH1’s Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood. The singer confirmed the news on Twitter.
Cole teased fans with a cryptic message. “I wanna tell u guys a secret,” Cole wrote. “J start filming next week.” When a fan asked for clarification, she responded, “LHH.”
Following Cole’s announcement, fans began tweeting her questions, including about why she decided to join the show. She explained that she wanted to connect with her fans again.
“Contractually got what we wanted to move and I want to touch bases with the essence of my fans again. Wanted to do something different,” she said.
Another fan warned the singer to be careful of her actions because she’s “much bigger than that show.” Cole responded, “I’ll add to it, don’t worry.”
According to Cole, the new season of Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood will air in June. Rumors began spreading in February about Cole joining the cast. During her interview on The Breakfast Club, Cole confirmed the show’s producer Mona Scott Young was interested in having her on the show. However, she stated that she wanted the deal to be worth over $1 million.
In other news, she just completed her new album, 1 1 1 1 Reset, which will release later this year on Epic Records. It will include her new song “You” featuring Remy Ma and French Montana.
