Two weeks ahead of his sophomore album release, SoMo gives offers fans a new track called “Champion.” On the feel-good tune, SoMo tries to win over a woman’s heart — and he doesn’t mind having to work for what he wants.
“Please can I get you off of that, get you off of that / Girl just call me back soon / I’ll work for that body, boo,” he sings on the West Coast-flavored track. “I’ve been practicing around the world / Taking my chances with the baddest girls / Got to set my tickets up so I can cash them in for ya / Rub my body like an Oscar / Girl you’re actin’ up, actin’ up.”
“Champion” is the follow-up to “First,” “Play” and “Just A Man.” All four tracks are lifted from, The Answers, which drops on March 17 on Republic Records. The album is available for pre-order now on iTunes.
