LeToya Luckett Shares New Song and Visual, ‘Used To’

Following the release of her single “Back 2 Life,” LeToya Luckett returns with a brand new song called “Used To.” Luckett also shared the accompanying visual, which is the second installment of her three-part mini movie series.

“‘Used To’ is one of my favorite records because of its confident ‘in your face’ lyrics. There’s nothing more attractive than a woman who’s humble, but knows what she can bring to the table,” Luckett said in a press release.

She continued, “I wanted the video to possess that same quality. It shows the “bounce back” from the disappointment of a relationship gone wrong, but it also showcases the vulnerability of a woman who allowed herself to Love.”

“Used To” will appear on Luckett’s highly anticipated third album, Back 2 Life, which will release on May 12 on eOne Music.

The 13-track LP will include a feature from Ludacris and production by Andre Harris, Warryn Campbell and newcomer Anthony Saunders, among others.

Ginette Claudette Releases ‘Twisted’ Music Video

Ginette Claudette shows off her cat burglar skills in the video for her new single, “Twisted.

Directed by Soben Phy, the New York native calls on her down-for-whatever homegirls to raid her unfaithful lover’s home in the Sunset Hollywood Villa.

Claudette tells what it was like shooting her “Twisted” music video. “Don’t get it twisted, sometimes ride-or-die homegirls are all you need to keep a dude in check. I had so much fun shooting this video and bringing that New York state of mind to life with my girls from back home. I feel like every woman should have a squad like this in their corner, you know, just in case.”

“Twisted” is the first single from Claudette’s long-awaited project, which is slated to release later this year via Summerchild Records. The project will serve as the follow-up to 2015’s All the Way, a six-track EP featuring its buzz single “Jump.”

Miguel Plays The Ultimate Mack in ‘Come Through and Chill’ Video Featuring J. Cole

Just weeks after selecting “Come Through and Chill” as his next radio single, Miguel releases the accompanying visual.

Directed by Kevin Calero, the video features Miguel enjoying his chemistry with a former lover on the set of a steamy photo shoot. He finds it hard splitting his time with his new love and a past fling who calls him at random when she wants to “come through and chill.” J. Cole spits his mean verse using a pay phone to emphasis his lyrical message.

“Come Through and Chill” is currently No. 44 on urban radio after debuting at No. 50 last week (April. 19). The smooth groove, which appears on his third album War & Leisure, has over 25 million streams on Spotify.

Over the last two weekends, Miguel has put on a show for festival-goers at Coachella. He will be performing at the Broccoli City Festival alongside Daniel Caser and H.E.R. this Saturday. This summer, he will co-headline the Smokin’ Grooves Festival.

Blvck Rose Releases Visual for ‘Video Girl’ Featuring FùNSHO

Emerging producer Blvck Rose has released the visual for his debut single “Video Girl” featuring FùNSHO.

Directed by Bria Domonique, the kaleidoscopic-clip takes a glimpse into the lives of various women with different interests including yoga, painting, photography and 420. The ladies later join Blvck Rose and FùNSHO at a kickback where he finds himself with more than enough options.

Blvck Rose shared the creative direction for the “Video Girl” visual. “I wanted to perfectly illustrate the feel of the song, which is very groovy, vibey and fun and highlight the variety of beautiful women of the DC-Maryland-Virginia area,” he said. “The vibrant shots showcase each woman in her natural element enjoying the song, and I hope the viewers leave with the message that all women are beautiful in their own way and should be appreciated.”

“Video Girl” will make the track list for Blvck Rose’s forthcoming EP A Half Dozen Roses, which is slated to arrive this summer. The project is expected to tell “an international love story told over futuristic melodic production.”
