R&B newcomer Khalid has a bright future ahead. With his breakout single “Location” climbing the Billboard Hot 100 (currently number 17), the 19-year-old singer has announced dates for his American Teen Tour.
The 25-date summer tour will kick off on July 12 in Portland, Ore. and will travel across major cities in North America including stops in Las Vegas, Dallas, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia, before wrapping up in San Fransisco, Calif. Khalid will also make a couple of stops at festivals including Pemberton Music Festival and NYC East River Promenade Festival.
Tickets for the American Teen Tour will go on sale this Thursday, May 18 at noon.
Khalid’s tour will support his debut album, American Teen, which debuted at no. 9 on the Billboard 200 with 37,000 equivalent album units sold. The album also debuted at no. 3 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart.
In other news, Khalid recently shared remixes to his songs “Let’s Go” featuring GoldLink and “Location” featuring Kehlani and Lil Wayne. He also appears on DMV rapper Logic’s new album Everybody on a track called “1-800-273-8255” with Alessia Cara.
