Something is definitely coming for R&B singer Gene Noble.
On his new anthemic tune “Something’s Coming,” Noble sings about the rising up of the new generation in the face of adversity.
“Don’t you feel it? Don’t you believe it?/Something’s coming now, can’t you feel it?,” he sings on the Ben Free and Sunny Norway-produced track.
Noble shared the inspiration for this track on his SoundCloud account:
I started working on this song after one of the senseless police killings of an unarmed black man. By the time the song was finished there were several more men who had also lost their lives in a similar fashion. “Something’s Coming” represents my thoughts about the whole thing. I believe that today’s youth are not going to be as easily divided as past generations. I believe that people right now are too awake to sit in silence. Every day I see that something’s coming; and that something, is change.
Noble has written for the likes of Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Faith Evans. He’s even seen some solo success last year thanks to his hit song “Only Love,” which features Pitbull and Shaggy.
“Something’s Coming” is the first single for his upcoming album, slated for release this fall.
