Jorja Smith has been having a great year thanks to her standout feature on Drake’s highly anticipated, record breaking album More Life. But this week, Jorja decided to fly solo with her latest offering “Teenage Fantasy.”
On the dreamy single, Smith recounts the story of a teenage love affair that didn’t end so well. In hindsight, she advises the young ones to take their time when it comes to the game of love.
“When we are young/We all want someone/Who we think is the one/Just to fit in/There’s no need to rush/Take your time/Life’s a big old ride/Sit back and enjoy the vibe,” she sings.
In addition to her assist on Drake’s “Get It Together,” Smith has kept busy with new music, pairing up with newcomer Kali Uchis on her reggae-tinged single “Tyrant,” as well as her drearily endearing tune “Beautiful Little Fools.”
