Bobby V has signed a multi-million dollar recording deal with SRG-ILS Group via Universal Music Group and will release new album called Controversy on February 23, 2018.
Through his new record agreement, the R&B veteran is able to reunite with his debut album collaborator Tim Kelly, who is the Head A&R of SRG-ILS.
“It’s a blessing that Bobby is my first signing as Head of A&R at SRG-ILS.,” shared Kelly in press release. “I’ve been a big brother in his career for years and we had major success with his debut album. Now we have unfinished business. It’s reunion time!”
Bobby added his level of excitement for the reunion, “I watched my parents work from very humble beginnings to make a life for me and my sister. They instilled the values of family, hard work and being passionate for all I do. To get a chance to work with Tim again and show everyone what I am about is a true blessing.”
According to the Special Occasion artist’s social media, he plans to bring back the “same sound” producers Tim Kelly and Bob Robinson created for his debut album, Bobby Valentino, which featured hits “Slow Down” and “Tell Me.”The platinum-selling debut opened at No. 3 on Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the R&B Albums chart.
