If you ever asked yourself “What Lovers Do,” SZA and Maroon 5 just might have the answer for you in their new music video.
The video begins with two small children, presumably SZA and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, running in a Bridge to Terabithia-style forest. The two continue to run through a track race in the 1980s, surf and ride on a speedboat, and even a night on the town in Las Vegas. Through it all, the pair remain together, mirroring the ups and downs that love can be, but in the end showing that it was all worthwhile.
SZA is currently on her headlining Ctrl Tour featuring rapper Smino and singer Ravyn Lenae, while Adam Levine is currently a judge on the 13th season of NBC’s reality juggernaut The Voice, which airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 PM.
