After dropping his “Filthy” track two weeks ago, Justin Timberlake follows-up with a new song called “Supplies.” On The Neptunes-produced track, Timberlake tells his woman that even in an apocalypse, his love enough for survival.
“‘Cause I’ll be the light when you can’t see / I’ll be the wood when you need heat / I’ll be the generator, turn me on when you need electricity / Some shit’s ’bout to go down / I’ll be the one with the level head / The world could end now / Baby, we’ll be living in The Walking Dead,” sings Timberlake.
Timberlake also premiered the video for “Supplies,” which was directed by Dave Meyers. The politically-charged video opens with Timberlake sitting in front of a stack of television screens consuming visuals a lot of issues that are happening in this country — from the #MeToo movement to police brutality.
From the looks of the video, Timberlake wants the world to know how ‘woke’ he is. But is he? We’ll leave that up to you to decide.
On Feb. 2, he will release his fifth album, Man of the Woods, on RCA Records. On Feb. 4, he will take center stage as the headlining act of Super Bowl Halftime Show presented by Pepsi.
