Tinashe is back on the scene with a feature from hip-hop star Offset and a bass-heavy new single titled “No Drama.”
On the Stargate-produced banger, Tinashe is kicking butts, taking names, and brushing off her haters all in one track.
“Said I’m falling off but they wanna JFK me / Tried to be myself but they wanna AKA me / AKA a popstar / AKA a problem / AKA don’t hold me back I swear I got ’em / We pulled up in Gucci dripped down in Gabbana / Bad as I wanna, only chasing commas / I need me a side thing, hold the drama / I need me a soldier he gon’ hold the line up,” she sings.
This is Tinashe’s first single since “Flame,” which was released in March of last year. The RCA Records signee has had trouble following the success of her 2014 breakout hit “2 On,” but thanks to trendy production and an assist by one of hip-hop music’s most popular artists, Tinashe may just be on her way to another bonafide hit.
“No Drama” is the first of three singles that Tinashe previously teased on her Instagram. Her upcoming album Joyride is slated for release later this year.
