DAWN ‘Waves’ to Employers for Equal Pay on New Song

in News

DAWN advocates for gender equal pay on a new song called “Waves.”

Backed by harmonic vocals and dramatic production, the New Orleans performer uses this powerful anthem to remind women of their remarkable contributions to the labor force. She champions ladies to “wave your money, just wave your money” especially to fellow co-workers who are not worthy of salary increases and promotions.

“Waves” has been released in partnership with Adult Swim’s Singles Program. DAWN shared on Twitter ( Feb. 7) the message behind the bold new track.

“I promised that I would release new music when I had shit to say,” DAWN wrote. “This is for every woman underpaid, underappreciated, undervalued and undermined… the underdog. ‘get cocky wit yo wave.’”
