After nearly a seven-year hiatus, R&B veteran Rahsaan Patterson returns brighter than ever on a new song titled “Wonderful Star.”
With his soulful tone matching flawlessly with the groovy, hypnotic production, Patterson sings praises to his lover for lightening up his heart. “It’s so wonderful / To be hit where you are / And lit by your star,” he coos.
“Wonderful Star” follows behind Patterson’s 2011 release Bleuphoria. The album featured two moderately successful singles “Crazy (Baby)” featuring Faith Evans and “Easier Said Than Done.”
Although Patterson hasn’t officially announced a new project, we hope “Wonderful Star” prompts him to drop some more soul on us. Until then, rock out to his new track below.
