Ciara reunites with Missy Elliott and Fatman Scoop for the official remix of her latest single “Level Up.”
On the revised version, Fatman Scoop opens the track by shouting “dangerous.” Ciara takes on the catchy hook and first verse, while Fatman Scoop chimes in with his ad-libs. Missy comes in on the second verse spitting hot fiyah.
“Have a new flow, got a new glow / Level up, I’m beautiful / On my ass, bounce like a yo-yo / Aye, I feel good and fly today / Aye, and I ain’t worried about shit, no way,” Missy raps on the upbeat track.
This is the first time in 13 years that the three artists have appeared on the same song together. In 2005, they collaborated on Missy’s hit single “Lose Control,” which earned a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video. The gold-selling single also peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The original version of “Level Up” and its accompanying video dropped on July 17. The track has over 1.3 million streams on Spotify and the video has over 8.5 million views on YouTube. “Level Up” is the first offering from Ciara’s upcoming seventh studio album that will release later this year on Beauty Marks Entertainment.
