Singer/actor Leon Thomas goes into deep thought on his new single “Sunken Place.” The introspective track finds Thomas in a state of depression after experiencing a painful breakup.
“Got me in a sunken place / Got me all lost in space,” Thomas sings. He continues, “How you supposed to learn if you make the same mistake twice? / How can I move if I text you every late night?”
While “Sunken Place” finds Thomas in a dark space, a light shines on his multi-talented abilities as a singer, rapper and producer.
“Sunken Place” is the second single from Thomas’ forthcoming EP, Genesis, which is slated to release later this year on Priority Records. The song follows his Buddy-assisted single “Favorite,” which has over 3.5 million streams on Spotify.
Mentored by music legend Babyface, Thomas is also one-half of the production/songwriting duo, The Rascals. They have worked with a variety of stars including Toni Braxton, Ariana Grande and Ty Dolla $ign, among others.
