Multi-talented entertainer Leon Thomas has released a futuristic visual for his new single “Favorite,” which features Compton native Buddy. Inspired by the Netflix hit-series Black Mirror, the Chris Berkenkamp-directed clip captures the essence of a timeless love.
“I was really excited to try something different in this video,” Thomas told Pigeons & Planes. “I wanted to showcase my ability to make a sort of short film. I’m a big fan of Black Mirror, and I think we’re getting very close to that space.”
“Favorite” is the first single from Thomas’ forthcoming album, Genesis, which is expected to drop this summer on Priority Records.
Thomas has established himself as a reputable actor. At the tender age of 10, he played Young Simba in The Lion King on Broadway, as well as starring roles in The Color Purple, Caroline, Change and August Rush. In 2017, he joined the cast of HBO’s hit show Insecure as Eddie, and starred in the critically-acclaimed film Detroit.
