Daley continues to breathe life into his 2017 effort, The Spectrum, with the release of a lyric video for his new single “Careless” feat. Chiiild.
For the black and purple abstract video, which features Daley, the words of the thoughtless song flash across the screen.
“There’s no disguise, that could cover this up / You’re reckless in the way you love,” he sings. “So it’s time, now the damage is done / It’s clear you never cared enough.”
Daley shared with Rated R&B how he came up with the title for his sophomore album, “In my head, the word ‘spectrum’ kept popping up in all different areas; so it’s my musical spectrum,” he said last year July. “It’s a range of what I do. When a word keeps coming back to me in different scenarios, I feel like it has a relevance to me and hopefully to other people. I like what it represents and I have a graphic design background, so I just like the fact that I get to use all the colors in the promo and I’m not wearing black all the time (laughs).”
Aside from “Careless,” The Spectrum includes Daley’s top 10 R&B hit “Until The Pain Is Gone” featuring Jill Scott.
