After soaring to the top 10 of R&B radio with “Rocket,” En Vogue selects “Reach 4 Me” as the follow-up single from their comeback album, Electric Cafe.
On the animated beat, produced by Dem Jointz, the ladies play hard to get as they test their lover to see if his love is as genuine as he claims. If his love is indeed true, the trio sings, “let me see them open arms.”
According to All Access, “Reach 4 Me” is the second most added (11) song on Urban Adult Contemporary radio this week.
The group’s previous single “Rocket” peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart and No. 8 on Urban AC radio. The Ne-Yo-penned song earned En Vogue’s their first top 10 R&B smash hit since 1997’s “Don’t Let Go.”
