Hold on a little longer. H.E.R. serves up another extended play, I Used to Know Her, before the release of her much-anticipated debut album.
Calling it a “prelude to the album,” the six-track set features all-new original material with guest appearances from DJ Scratch (“Lost Souls”) and Bryson Tiller (“Could’ve Been”).
The cover art for I Used to Know Her contributes to the singer’s mysterious stage persona. The image features the singer holding a blank sepia-colored Polaroid.
H.E.R. broke the new music news to her followers on social media earlier this week. She didn’t, however, share any additional details surrounding her debut album.
Currently, H.E.R is enjoying top 10 radio success. Her solo single “Focus” and Daniel Caesar-assisted track “Best Part” are fighting it out on the urban Adult Contemporary radio chart.
H.E.R. is wrapping her time on Chris Brown’s Heartbreak on a Full Moon Tour, which ends on tomorrow, Aug. 4 in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
