Traci Braxton is back with new music. The 46-year-old singer has released her brand new single titled “Lifeline,” which was produced Dave “Daveyboy” Lindsey.
On the heartwarming tune, written by Nye the Songwriter and Mariam Aquarium, Braxton sings about finding her knight in shining armor. “It’s about how long you’re willing to wait for your relationship to become pure and having that soulmate,” Braxton tells Rated R&B.
“How does it feel down there on my own? / I don’t know ’cause baby you’re my lifeline,” she sings on the chorus.
“Lifeline” is the first single from Braxton’s upcoming sophomore album. The song follows her collaborative track “Broken Things” featuring her sisters Toni, Towanda and Trina.
In 2014, Braxton released her debut album Crash & Burn, which debuted at No. 11 on Billboard’s R&B Albums Chart. The album included her Raheem DeVaughn-assisted track “Stay Sippin.”
In other news, catch Traci in the season six return of WE tv’s Braxton Family Values on August 16.
