Here’s another one! Almost two months after releasing “Trip” as her new single, Ella Mai bags her second top 10 on urban radio.
Produced by DJ Mustard, the remorseful single, totaling 3,385 radio spins, makes a two-spot jump to No. 9 today after debuting at No. 47 in mid-August. This feat is Mai’s quickest run to urban radio’s top 10, with “Boo’d Up” coming in only three days behind.
Mai and Queen Naija are the only R&B artists in the top 10 of urban radio. In addition to “Trip,” Mai’s No. 1 hit “Boo’d Up” rests at No. 10. “Medicine” by Queen Naija is at No. 7.
Two artists: Jacquees and Tiffany Evans have remixed “Trip.”
