Estelle is back with her first album in three years, Lovers Rock.
The LP features Luke James, Kranium, Tarrus Riley, Chronixx, and more. For the album’s reggae-inspired production, Estelle enlisted Supa Dups, Reefa, Jerry Wonda, and Harmony Samuels.
The lead single, “Better,” is one of many bomb tracks from the romantic album that logs the epic tales of her parents’ love saga.
The singer revealed her parents separated when she was three and got back together 20 years later. The two eventually got married when Estelle was 33.
“They’ve been needing to be together their whole lives and just had a different path to get back to each other,” she said to NPR. “It’s beautiful.”
Lovers Rock is a follow-up to 2015’s True Romance.
