Jhene Aiko took a Trip to Washington, D.C. last week for Howard University’s homecoming festivities. The angelic singer headlined the Second Annual #YouTubeBlack Fan Fest at Howard’s Cramton Auditorium.
Over 1,400 college students and alumni filled the auditorium for an interactive experience featuring an intro by Howard’s marching band and step team as well as performances by notable YouTube creators Ari Lennox, Ceraadi, Kyle Exum, Dormtainment, KevOnStage, Khadi, TPindell, Next Town Down and Shan Boody.
Aiko capped the night with a special performance, which included “While We’re Young” and “Sativa” from her latest album Trip.
