Kandi Burruss is shedding the last of her innocence in the visual for her new single “Ready For This.”
In the burlesque show-styled video, directed by Theshay West, the Real Housewives of Atlanta starlet gets in her freak zone as she takes her real-life husband (Todd Tucker) to a world of dark fantasies. Throughout the sexy visual, Kandi is seen getting comfortable with a couch and methodically grinds on it as she caresses herself.
The video even features a fitting cameo from Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta matriarch, Momma Dee.
The purpose for “Ready for This” was to promote the Kandi’s adults-only burlesque show, Welcome To The Dungeon, which was play off a season nine RHOA storyline. The risqué event took place in Atlanta earlier this month.
Earlier this year, Kandi unveiled the thumping track “Fake People” to mark the start of a new era. After nearly eight years since her album, Kandi Koated, the R&B veteran has vowed to step her game up to represent the current music times.
“I’ve been away from the music scene for a long time as a solo artist and wanted to come with something different,” said Kandi to Billboard. “I collaborated with a new team and together we created a whole new sound that I’m in love with!”
