Mariah Carey isn’t playing any games this era. Just days after revealing the title of her 15th album, Caution, the R&B vet drops her Ty Dolla $ign-assisted song titled “The Distance.”
Over the Skrillex-produced cut, Carey brushes off haters who speak negatively about her relationship. “Ain’t nobody stopping us / What we have is dangerous / Left they opinions in the dust / Said can’t nobody fuck with us / They’ll never find a way to make us fade away,” she sings.
Ty chimes in on the third verse expressing the same sentiments. “Fuck all their comments / They be so toxic,” he sings.
Caution is scheduled to release on November 16 via Epic Records. The album will include Carey’s previously released songs “With You” and “GTFO.” Fans who pre-order the album will get an instant download of the three tracks.
