For the second year in a row, Ciara will be hosting Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Not only will she emcee the annual event in Hollywood but she will ring in 2019 with a much-anticipated performance.
“For 47 years, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve has been America’s biggest and most watched party of the year,” shared Mark Bracco, executive producer and executive vice president of programming & development for Dick Clark Productions in a statement. “We’re thrilled that Ryan, Jenny, Ciara and Lucy are back to help America usher in the New Year, along with a stellar lineup of the year’s hottest musical artists.”
In addition to Ciara’s performance, R&B’s new kid Ella Mai will be hitting the stage to add more flare to the West Coast celebration.
Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Foster the People, Dua Lipa, Macklemore, Skylar Grey and Charlie Puth make up the early performers roster for NYRE 2019. More musical guests for the for the Time Square and New Orleans celebrations will be announced in the coming weeks.
Before Mai closes out the year with Ci Ci, she will report to the 86th annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center in New York City. The star-studded event, which includes appearances and performances from John Legend, Diana Ross and Tony Bennett, will air live on Wednesday, November 28 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will air live on Monday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
