After releasing two smash tracks this year (“True” and “Twisted”), Ginette Claudette returns with “Love Me Back.” Over a lush production, Claudette wears her heart on her sleeve as she yearns for her man to show more affection in their relationship.
“All you gotta do sometimes is call me baby / All I gotta know is that I cross your mind / It don’t even matter if you mean it right now / Make me feel like you still wanna be mine,” she sings on the emotional tune.
On November 30, Claudette will release her new project titled On To Something, which will follow 2015’s All The Way Back. She describes the songs on the project as a conversation with herself. “Creating this project has been a very therapeutic journey of self-discovery for me as a woman and an artist,” she says. “On this new project, I start to peel back a lot of layers on a lot of the things I have been self-conscious about for so long and, until now, have held inside.”
She adds, “For the first time, I was able to unapologetically say what I wanted while disregarding the outside pressures that I’ve faced for so long. And I am excited to share it with the world.”
