Tiffany Evans is on some new ish, and is ready to “Switch Up” things on her new wavy kiss-off jam.
Charged by a saucy beat, the glow up anthem finds the Bronx native saying goodbye an ex-lover. “Broke up with my nigga yesterday / He kept acting up so you know I couldn’t stay / And I’m really to pretty just to be in second place,” she sings confidently.
Evans revealed exclusively to Billboard that “‘Switch Up’ is another way of me saying ‘fuck you’ to an ex. It took me so long to finally say, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I’m going out tonight and going to kick it with someone who’s going to show me a good time.'”
“Switch Up” kicks off the new era for Evans. Her last project, All of Me, dropped in 2015. Fans can expect the direction of her new music to be “more raw and vulnerable compared to [her] past work.”
