The holidays are rapidly approaching and nothing but festive Christmas music are filling the airwaves. The likes of Mariah Carey, Nat King Cole and John Legend are already alerting us on what time of year it is, but Raheem DeVaughn takes a much more smooth and relaxed approach with “Joyful Noise (The Chill AF Mix).”
The track isn’t your typical Christmas song about Santa Claus, snowfall and gifts. The Love King lets his lady know that her “love is harmonious.” Coming in mid-song, Vandell Andrew lays down his velvety saxophone skills, sure to make you want to snuggle up under some mistletoe with your loved one.
If you’re the spirit of giving, check out DeVaughn in Washington D.C. at The Howard Theatre (Dec. 20) and in New York at the Highline Ballroom (Dec. 21) for his pair of Raheem DeVaughn and Friends Holiday Charity Concerts. The two events are powered by DeVaughn’s nonprofit The LoveLife Foundation and AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF).
