Chaka Khan steps into 2019 with a positive outlook and new music. The Queen of Funk has released an electrifying new song titled “Hello Happiness” to reign in the new year.
The fun record gabs about Khan’s vigor for life and the surge of happiness she’s experienced while showcasing her knack for high octaves of funk and flare.
“Hello Happiness” is the second release and title track from Khan’s long-awaited new album, which will arrive on February 15 via Diary Records. For her first record since 2007’s Funk This, Khan recruited producer Switch and singer/songwriter Sara Ruba Taylor for creative inspiration. “Like Sugar,” the album’s lead single, was released back in June 2018 and received retro video treatment.
