Janelle Monáe is under surveillance by The Man in her recent video for “Screwed.”
At large and on the run, Monáe and her free-spirited gang are watched escaping public scrutiny and seen exploring their right to be outlandish individuals. All fun comes to an end when one of them is caught by masked gunmen.
On the heels of releasing her latest visual, Monáe has been revealed as a headliner for the West Holts stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. She previously performed at the festival in 2011.
Monáe will hit perform at Coachella in April, along with Solange, H.E.R., Blood Orange and SiR.
“Screwed” is featured on Monáe’s Dirty Computer, which was named one of the top five R&B albums of 2018 by Rated R&B. The work is nominated for Album of the Year at the 61st Grammy Awards.
