Okay, we are obsessed with Lizzo. The emerging Minneapolis native has poured up a glass of “Juice” for her latest single.
The nonchalant track finds Lizzo speaking unapologetically about exceeding the expectations of naysayers. Cheeky lyrics like, “Ain’t my fault that I’m out here making news / gotta blame it on my juice” and “the juice ain’t worth the squeeze if the juice don’t look like this” have the right amount of concentration to boost your confidence.
Lizzo also premiered a bold and beautiful video for her new tune. She relives the ’80s fitness television revolution and visits a late-night show to sell her amazing art.
“Juice” is Lizzo’s first offering of 2019. She had all eyes on her in 2018 with bangers “Boys” and “Fitness.” With much anticipation, she may bless us with her first project since 2016’s Coconut Oil EP and 2015’s Big GRRRL Small World.
