Sylenna Johnson powers through the negative attitudes aimed at women on her blues-fired new single titled “Woman.”
The confessional record finds Johnson empowering women to embrace their natural instincts while borrowing some from their fellow man. She believes by doing this it will “make America great again.”
“As an artist, my superpower is to be able to use my artistry to evoke emotion and change,” said Johnson on her latest single. “With what women have endured in this world, I believe this record will empower and inspire and hopefully change a few perspectives.”
“Woman” is the first offering and title track from Johnson’s follow-up to 2017’s Rebirth of Soul. The LP featured 10 amazing covers, including Aretha Franklin’s “Chain of Fools,” and “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James.
