Tweet is back and ready to reclaim her time. The honey-voiced songster sat down with BET for their Finding series and opened up about her triumphs and trials in the music industry.
She discussed her start in the music industry as an original member of Da Bassment Cru, which was founded by DeVante Swing of Jodeci and included Ginuwine and Missy Elliott as members as well. Tweet also shared stories about working with Missy, leading up to her debut album Southern Hummingbird and putting to rest what her hit single “Oops (Oh My)” was actually about.
She also announced that she has finished up her new album. R&B gents BJ The Chicago Kid and Raphael Saadiq will appear on the upcoming untitled project.
