Atlantic Records’ dynamic duo Cardi B and Bruno Mars have released a visual for their Jodeci-inspired single, “Please Me.”
Filmed in Los Angeles, the four-minute clip opens with Bruno and his boys making an afterparty stop to a 24-hour Mexican restuarant. Moments later, Cardi and her crew loudly stroll in as they talk about a fight that was about to happen earlier that night. “We should’ve slapped that bitch,” Cardi tells her friend. “She was talking to me…crazy.”
Cardi and her gang instantly grabs Bruno and his friends’ attention. They end up using the empty restaurant to keep the party going with flirtacious dance moves, before making their way outside together.
This is the second time the two Atlantic Records labelmates worked together. Their first collaboration was on Mars’ “Finesse (Remix),” which released in 2018. The video was inspired by ’90s hit variety show In Living Color.
In other news, Mars is nominated for five NAACP Image Awards, including Outstanding Male Artist.
