Special bulletin: Ciara is coming. We repeat. Ciara is coming.
The R&B superstar just announced plans to drop her seventh studio album, Beauty Marks, this spring.
Slated to arrive on May 10, the new album will mark the multi-talented entertainer’s first album since 2015’s Jackie. It will also be her first release on her new record label Beauty Marks Entertainment, which she detailed in early February.
On March 29, Ciara will debut her new single “Thinkin Bout You.” She previously released “Greatest Love,” an ode to her husband Russell Wilson ahead of Valentine’s Day. She also packaged the beautiful tune with a sensual music video.
As mentioned above, Ciara launched her independent label imprint and described it as a hub “where music intersects with film, fashion, technology and philanthropy.”
When asked how it felt to finally be in the driver’s seat of her career, Ciara told Billboard, “Being able to have that freedom and flexibility is so special.”
She continued, “There have been moments in the past when I’ve felt creatively handicapped just because I have to wait for the powers that be to make the decisions for me and then they take a long time. I’m just waiting and waiting and losing time and before you know it, six months pass by.”
Beauty Marks will be available for pre-order as soon “Thinkin Bout You” as goes live at midnight.
