Former The Internet collaborator Tay Walker unwrapped the visual for his latest single, “The World.”
The Jo Lenz-directed video opens with a montage of news clips that show different disasters happening in the United States. Walker portrays a homeless man who watches the world around him crumble.
“‘The World’ is more than just a song and video, it is my perspective on where society is heading,” Walker tells Rated R&B. “I don’t have the answers but I’m an artist who is willing to start the conversation.”
The piano-driven record is lifted from Walker’s latest album, One Way Street to Nowhere (OWSTN), which released in spring 2018.
Walker is known for his affiliation with Odd Future’s The Internet. In addition to playing the keyboard in the band, he appeared on “They Say” from their debut album Purple Naked Ladies.
