Kelly Price is set to take a seat on the judging panel on the reboot of BET’s Sunday’s Best in June.
The Grammy-nominated vocalist is set to host season nine of the gospel singing competition, alongside Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds. Kirk Franklin will return as host for the inspirational talent series.
Price announced the details of her new gig on Instagram, revealing that she was “elated” to be a part of Sunday’s Best, which took a four-year hiatus after Dathan Thigpen won season eight in 2015.
Executive produced by Jessie Collins, Sunday’s Best will make its return to BET on Sunday, June 30.
As for Price, she recently starred as series regular on BET’s American Soul. The scripted ’70s period drama series, which premiered in February, has been renewed for a second season.
With all her new jobs, we anticipate developments on Price’s new album to surface soon. It’s been nearly five years since her last album Sing, Pray, Love, Vo1. 1. The album featured her top five R&B hit “It’s My Time.”
