Teyana Taylor stunned the Ellen audience on Thursday with her impassioned performance of “Issues/Hold On” from her K.T.S.E. album.
Poised on a custom built Soul Train stage in a retro look, the R&B siren mesmerized the crowd with her expressive vocalizing. While Taylor belted the vivid recording, entertaining dancers, in stylish clothes, worked the dance floor with their hip moves. Ellen even joined in for the dance party.
After receiving deserved praise from the audience, Ellen handed Taylor her official gold plaque for “Gonna Love Me.” The singer recounted this tear-jerking moment in a lengthy Instagram post where she thanked everyone on set for making this all possible.
Last month, Taylor dropped a romantic picture for “Issues/Hold On,” which she directed under the alias Spike Tee. She also headed Monica’s official “Commitment” video.
On May 15, Taylor is slated to perform the 2019 Red Bull Music Festival to rep for the House of Petunia. She has also been tapped for the inaugural Femme It Forward this summer.
