In less than a week, Chris Brown will be releasing his ninth studio album Indigo. The global superstar shared his latest single “No Guidance” featuring Drake earlier this month, and it’s already making a huge impact on the charts.
The trippy slow jam debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. The song is Brown’s 11th top 10 entry as a lead artist and his 15th top 10 single in general.
“No Guidance” is Brown’s first top 10 of 2019 on the Billboard Hot 100 and his first as a lead artist since 2014’s smash hit “Loyal,” which peaked at No. 9. Brown last entered the top 10 circuit (No. 8) in 2018 for his “Freaky Friday” collaboration with Lil Dicky.
Similar to his latest Hot 100 debut, Brown’s “Forever” opened at No. 9 in 2008. The Polow Da Don-produced single sold 113,000 downloads in its first week.
Brown’s all-star Indigo album, due out on June 28, will be brought to life on his supporting tour later this summer. The first of 38 shows kicks off on August 20 in Portland at Moda Center.
Although Brown is super busy promoting his new album, it hasn’t stopped him from linking up with his R&B friends for more hits. He teamed with Eric Bellinger for ‘Type of a Way” and hopped on DaniLeigh’s “Easy (Remix).”
