Charismatic R&B act Berhana has an important message about “Health Food,” his wholesome new single.
This irrefutable funk jam is saturated in quivering synths and off-centered vocals that maneuver seamlessly throughout its hazy structure. As for song’s text, Berhana suggests a sweet dose of his woman’s “peach” will put in him mint condition.
Berhana premieres a 16mm-style video for the lucid single. Taped by Julia Baylis and Sam Guest, Berhana is seen on a movie-set being a couch potato. He alternates between film studios in a frantic state. He doesn’t leave his green cold-pressed drink behind, though.
“Health Food” is the era-launching single for his yet untitled debut album, which is out later this year. It will mark the first project since his 2016 eponymous EP. The self-titled release featured the single “Janet.”
